Interview of the Armenian Group after the Training Course in Armenia "Youth and Peace" 2019
WHY YOUNG PEOPLE HAVE A ROLL TO PLAY IN PROMOTING PEACEBUILDING?
Lilit Manukyan: This is very easy. We are the new generation and we must take care of our future. But looking to the future is impossible without peace.
Hayk Abelyan: All of us have to play a role in to our social communities to keep Peace. Why? The answer is easy- because if we don't have peace at home, at work, this means, that we don't have it in country, because of it many bad thing will happen, even wars...
HOW CAN YOUTH PROMOTE PEACE AND PREVENT CONFLICTS IN THEIR COMMUNITY?
Lilit Manukyan: We need to show the public that we want to live in a peaceful and healthy environment. We don’t need any war, quarrel or conflict.
Hayk Abelyan: If we don't have peace in our countries, it means a lot for us... We all have to prevent conflicts in our communities, and try to make peace everywhere. We must show people that we want to make peace all around the world!
WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES YOUNG PEOPLE FACE AS PEACEBUILDERS IN THEIR COMMUNITY AND AT EU LEVEL? PLEASE GIVE SOME RECOMMENDATIONS FOR LOCAL AND EUROPEAN POLICY MAKERS.
Lilit Manukyan: Solve a problem is more youth verious activites, training and Engagement. We have to try that everyone will know about this organization.
Hayk Abelyan: For that, we need to make much more trainings about peace building, much more social activities, we must show others that they can keep peace in their relationships with everyone, and this will save our lives and others as well...
